Getting started

Greetings.
I am launching a blog in preparation for the Fall 2010 voyage of UVa's Semester at Sea. Many have requested to be included in my travel journal postings which I plan to add periodically after each port of call as we circumnavigate the globe. When I post, I will notify by email and you may link to the journal and images if you like.
Please let me know if you prefer not to receive the email notifications.

The MV Explorer sails from Norfolk, VA on August 23, 2010 with faculty and staff. Students and Lifelong Learners will board in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

And meanwhile, I prepare for the shipboard teaching (2 sections of Drawing and 1 section of Collage), prepare for the travels in each of 13 nations, play Granny Nanny here in Charlottesville (Genevieve age 4 and Analise age 15 months), garden, prepare my house and studio for subletters, and will enjoy a week at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and a week of cycling along the Northumberland Coast of England prior to setting sail. It's a busy time.

Cheers!
